“Well written, full of drama, love, friends, suspense, sadness and twists. Bennit has only been a second son of a Duke all his life never thinking he would become a Duke. At a young age he meets Beth and has always loved her. Beth is the daughter of his father’s farm tenant. As time goes on, he goes to college then to war. When he returns he is now the new Duke. Beth has left the farm and taken a job in the city, where he finds her. She has not married bt was attacked and left with a child. Bennit sees them together and thinks she is married. Still in love with her, his heart breaks and he returns to the farm. Learning the truth he returns to her and finds her sick. He cares for her and they get their happily ever after. Has lots of action and intrigue. Would like to find out more about the women in the shared home with her, maybe another book. Would recommend to others.”
