This heartthrob romance stars Troy Beaumont, the heir apparent to the Earl of Whickerton, and Lady Leonora, his childhood neighbor. What you would think could have been a beautiful friendship turned marriage at the young age of 18 for Lady Leonora suddenly turns into half a decade of disaster and heartbreak for the duo. Lady Leonora is determined to do the right thing. She met a handsome, young, and titled gentleman and did what any Regency-era lady would do. Leonora accepts his suit because that is what is expected of her.
Then one fateful day, just a few days before her wedding, in fact, she goes on a ride with her childhood best friend as if to say farewell. But perhaps instead of a farewell, this ride turns into an eye-opening experience because the two end up sharing “an accidentally bewitching kiss” that has Lady Leonora rethinking her current wedding plans and Troy hoping she leaves her groom at the altar.
Sadly, that is not what happens, and Lady Leonora spends five years in a loveless marriage while Troy becomes more bitter and more alone, turning this novel into a riveting loves-second chance scene.
They rekindle their friendship by happenstance and romance blooms in the most delicate way. Of course, it is not without its own sources of peril and life-threatening moments. Once Upon An Accidently Bewitching Kiss is a must-read for anyone who loves regency romance.

Noteworthy Moments In This Kindle Unlimited Romance
As I read this book, it took a little bit of time to really get into it. I have read a lot of Bree Wolf’s work, and from the start, some lines and scenes did not fit her typical writing style. In fact, it was so far out of the norm of her typical works that, at one point, I found myself wondering if parts of this book were ghostwritten. For instance, this book has much more intimacy than Bree Wolf usually publishes, though the later books in the Whickertons series have been getting a little more intimate. On page 15, for instance, there was a very descriptive kissing scene that is out of the norm for the most part.
However, I absolutely love the picture she paints of Troy Beaumont in this book. I wish it were the portrayal of a real man’s burning love, but it is not. In fact, it screams the perception of a man written by a woman in some cases. For example, Troy mulls over the fact that his heart belonged to Lady Nora (Lady Leonora) for the entire five years that she was married.
Finally, though, the moment that literally brought tears to my eyes was in chapter 32. Don’t worry. They were good tears, so you will have to read this book to see the heartwarming family moment. It is a pivotal moment in the entire series, and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Let’s just say it really pulls out all the stops to show a parent’s love.
The Most Powerful Piece of Advice from This Book
Regency romance novels are typically written by married women and are chock-full of life-long wisdom and marital advice. One of the most powerful bits of life advice I have heard in a while came from a quote in this book.
“Believe me, you do not want to waste your life alone, to have no one to share it with. As surely as love can grow after marriage, it can also wither. It is not a guarantee for anything. Do not rob yourself of this chance. I beg you.”
-Bree Wolf, Once Upon An Accidently Bewitching Kiss, Page 126
How strong is that, don’t give up your chance for love when it is right in front of you. This advice was given a little too late for some of us, but it is better late than never.

Clean Regency Romance With a Hint Of Intimacy
Even though there were a few more descriptive kissing scenes within this book than in an ordinary Bree Wolf book, I am still rating this book 3 flaming hearts. It had no descriptive sex scenes but had several passionate kissing moments that were pivotal to the storyline.
Five Star Regency Romance on Kindle Unlimited
This book took you on the ups and downs that a regency romance novel should take you on until you eventually get to a happy ending. The characters ended up getting their happily-ever-after at the end of this book with the wedding and the baby. Though that is not really a spoiler because it is the classic ending of almost every regency romance novel. Once Upon and Accidentally Bewitching Kiss is book six in the Whickertons In Love series. It does a really excellent job of tying in all the characters and backgrounds from the other books and keeping the small details straight, which I really appreciate. After so many books and so many elements in a series, that can be hard to do.
