For the Love of a Lairdess
When love is tangled in betrayal, and titles are paid for in blood, happily ever after comes at a cost. A swoon-worthy historical romance by Regency author Lyrica Lovell
Book Blurb
A runaway lairdess with secrets to keep, A laird with loose morals and a plan, A second chance at love steeped in danger.
Scotland, 1808 Dallis has spent years in the shadows of Edinburgh, hiding her name, her title, and the betrayal that broke her heart. Once the cherished wife of a Scottish laird, now a lowly maid, she has learned to survive without hope—until a single opportunity tempts her back into the world of luxury and status. For the first time, she dares to believe her past might finally stay buried.
Dashiell MacKendrick, the Seventh Laird of Clan MacKendrick, is no one’s idea of a hero. His rise to power was forged through ruthless choices, ambition, and blood—but every calculated move has always had one goal: bringing Dallis home.
As past wounds collide with present longing, Dallis and Dashiell must decide whether love can truly survive the betrayals that tore them apart… or if their second chance will slip through their fingers forever.
A Highland Regency romance of second chances, brooding lairds, and the enduring power of love. Includes a little bit of spice and a happily-ever-after!

Five Star Amazon Reviews
“In this historical romance you are carried off to Scotland and its rich setting, heartfelt emotions, and unforgettable characters. Filled with second chances, long-held misunderstandings, and lingering feelings, the story kept me invested from beginning to end. Watching Dallis and Dashiell work through past hurts and uncover unspoken truths was both emotional and rewarding. The chemistry was wonderful, the Scottish backdrop was charming, and the happily-ever-after was exactly what I hoped for. A delightful read for fans of historical romance and redemption stories.”
“This book was a little hard to get in to at first but a few chapters in and I was hooked. Turned out awesome and definitely recommend it.”
“This book has a great storyline that had surprises from the beginning until the end. After having overheard a murderous conversation, Dallis escapes into the night and from there her life is not an easy one. As time passes, things improve and then Dashiell comes for her to return her to her rightful place in the clan. The story is well written and very entertaining. They get their happy ending but there are some set backs but things tend to work out. I loved the addition of Bram and Hamish to the story. It’s definitely worth reading.”
