Central to the story is the setting in Renwick’s Hotel at the edge of Maida Gardens. It seems like book two will continue to hold the same setting.

In Temptation and the Artist, the hero is Stephen Dornan, a handsome painter. The heroine, however, is not your average Regency lady of high society. From the description, it appears she is some sort of spy for the crown. It will be released in paperback, ebook, and Kindle Unlimited in mid-June 2022. It will be going on my must-read list.

The hero of this story is a 44-year-old widow who was in love with his wife and heartbroken when she passed away. The heroine? Well, that is Miss. Julianna Quill, a spinster astronomer of 30 and seven years.

This angst, slow-burn romance is filled with doubts, differences, and second chances at love. Will these two people who have thrown off love decide it is worth the chance? Will you decide this debut book in the Willful Winterbournes series is worth the read?

3.) The Dukes Sword by C.H. Armband

The Dukes Sword is the debut book in the Dukes Guard Series. At first glance at the description, this book seems like it could be the classic table retold. It could have the duke/employee plotline where the duke falls in love with his governess. Or, as an added bonus, it looks like it is a love’s second chance novel. The Duke of Wyndmere is looking for a governess for his newborn twins. But, wait, it is the Duke’s Guard, Patrick O’MalleyO’Malley, who is the real hero of this story. He falls head over heels for the governess, another member of the duke’s employ. The heroine is a widow with a reputation for being an excellent nanny.

This is an interesting spin on a regency romance with 16 books upcoming in the series, so you might as well dive in early! I cannot wait to dive into these reads. The first book in the Duke Guard comes out at the end of June!

4.) Highland Sky by Elizabeth Rose

Highland Sky is book three in the Highland Outcasts series. The cover is a smashing success story and a must-have for any passionate historical romance readers. This book came out at the beginning of June 2022. This series takes the most deadly sins and turns them into attributes of the heroes. In Highland Sky, rugged warrior Nash MacKeefe struggles with pride and maybe alcohol as well. One night at his clan’s tavern, he is having a little too much fun and lights the roof on fire. Angering Old Callum, he is sent to a needy neighboring clan to repair roofs. Only to fall in love with one of the local girls. The problem is, he must win her heart because she doesn’t like him very much. In the process of winning her heart, though, he might just save her entire clan.

This seems like it is set to be a rough and rowdy Highland romance series, though I have not read them.

5.) Pride of Lyons by Jenna Jaxon

Series: Lyons Den, Book 26

Another book in the famous Lyons Den Series is set to launch at the end of June. If you haven’t started this series yet, they are fantastic. They encompass various regency romance authors and a wide range of steaminess levels. One book might be sweet and wholesome, while the next is flaming hot. Pride of Lyons is set to be a riveting success. It once again features the Black Widow of Whitehall and has all Regency readers in bated breath to see how big of a role this interesting character will play. This reviewer’s guess is pretty big. The heroine of Pride of Lyons is Miss Honoria Quinn, who makes a mad dash from a powerful man who is trying to take her and make her his mistress. She runs fleeing into the first building she finds, the Lyons Den.

The hero is Thomas, Lord Braeton, who is hoping for a love match and must be a man of good character as he is helping out friends and keeping his brother out of trouble. He even agrees to marry Miss. Honoria, so she isn’t ruined even though he doesn’t love her. This book sounds like it will take on the marriage on convenience plotline as most other Lyons Den books do. But knowing the Lyons Den Series, it will have some great twists and turns. It is set to debut at the end of June 2022.
